In this episode, the hosts meet with Brett Merchant, who is walking across B.C. with his half-wolf dog Kura, to bring awareness to the Highway Of Tears.
Then they meet with Caitlin Birdsall, the Vancouver Aquarium’s coordinator for the north, who organized the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup this past weekend.
Captain Gary Shiels of the Salvation Army then comes on to discuss the challenges of finding affordable housing in Prince Rupert, especially for those who recently lost their home in a fire on Second Avenue West.

Tyler Portelance and Kimberly Godfrey are back for their third week of hosting “This Week” in the Northern View. In this episode, they discuss the city missing its opportunity to get funding for water infrastructure, Pacific NorthWest LNG getting its export licence extended to 40 years, the Rupert Western Canada Marine Response Corporation heading to Bella Bella to clean up the mess from a sunken tug boat and the Rampage suffering a big loss against the River Kings. This week’s special guest is Michelle Bryant-Gravelle, the director of the Women’s Leadership Network, who describes what the organization is doing in the community to bring gender equality to the workplace. The BC SPCA Pet of the Week also makes an appearance.
